It’s not the most exciting topic, but being able to start your car without a key is a life-changing skill.

This article is for you. It’s going to show you how to get yourself back on the road with minimal effort and no damage to your car or wallet.

Remove the plastic panel

To remove the plastic panel from under your steering wheel, first, you’ll need to remove the screws that are holding it in place.

These screws are usually located on either side of the dashboard and can be accessed by removing any trim panels that cover them.

Once you’ve removed these screws and any other fasteners that may hold the plastic panel in place, carefully pull the panel away from its mounting points until it comes loose.

Locate the red and green starter wires

The red wire is the positive wire and the green one is the negative. The red one is connected to the positive terminal of your battery. On most cars, it’s on top of the battery itself.

The green wire should be connected to your negative battery terminal.

Attach the positive clamp from your jump box to the red wire

You will need to attach the positive clamp from your jump box to the red wire. Be sure to avoid touching any other wires and make sure that you don’t attach the negative clamp from your jump box to your battery or any other metal part of your engine.

Attach the negative clamp from your jump box to a clean metal part of your engine

Next, attach the negative end of your jump box to a clean metal part of your Infiniti G35. This would be the black clamp on the jump box.

You don’t have to attach it to anything specific, just make sure it’s somewhere that won’t cause any damage if you accidentally ground something else or touch it too hard when working on your car.

Once you’ve attached this clamp and made sure that everything else is secure (i.e., not touching).

Go ahead and connect both ends of the positive jumper cable to their respective posts on either side of where they will meet each other inside your G35’s fuse box panel: one wire goes into “terminal B” while another connects up to “terminal A.”

Lastly, hook up another red wire from terminal C (also known as “BAT”) on one side with one more black wire coming out from terminal D (“GND”).

Start your car

Now that you’ve got the ignition turned and your car is cranking, check to make sure you’re in good running condition.

Conclusion

You should now be able to start your car without the key.
