I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset for as long as I can remember. I always wanted to become my own boss. The desire to be financially free has always been within me. People are told to go to college, get an education, and get a job. This sounds great; however, you’ll end up in debt, and there’s no guaranteed employment or a certain income. I don’t have anything against people going to college or getting an education. Some things you can’t learn in school, you have to learn them on your own. Most people are programmed by society to think and act a certain way. Others aren’t; they think outside the box, want more out of life, and aren’t afraid to take risks; this is how I am.
Invest In Yourself
The best investment that you can make is in yourself. It took me some time to figure this out. When it involves you, you may work harder and put more effort into your business, ideas, dreams, and goals. My blog isn’t a niche. It’s just my name, which allows me to write about whatever I want. There are an infinite amount of topics for me to cover. I’ve had numerous websites and blogs. However, for whatever reason, this is my most successful one by a long shot, and it’s not even close. The difference is that this website involves my name. So, yes, I have put more time and effort into it than other blogs and websites I’ve owned in the past. As a result of this, I see why it’s better if I invest in myself.
We live in a world where everyone wants to get rich overnight, that instant gratification. Today, many people want to become famous on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and Facebook. Perhaps, if you get lucky, you might just make a viral video and achieve insane levels of success very fast. This has happened for some people; however, it’s not the norm. It’s also unlikely to happen.
There are even people who are selling products and services and telling you that you can make a lot of money very fast or even get rich. Sadly, people fall for these scams and schemes all the time. Most of the time, these people aren’t interested in helping you; they are only interested in taking your hard-earned money and making themselves richer.
The Truth About Success
You get what you put in. If you want to be successful, you’re going to have to sacrifice a lot of your time, work hard, and be dedicated and committed to your goals. This can take months or even years. Also, there is no guarantee that you will succeed, and you will most likely fail many times during the process. Ultimately, what matters is that you believe in yourself; you have to believe that you can achieve your goal. Once you believe, you’re not going to quit regardless of the number of times that you fail. Remove the idea of quitting from your mind. You might have to fail ten times; it could be more. However, you can’t fail forever, and you will certainly learn from your failures.
This is what people who want to sell you a dream won’t tell you. If you want to be in the 1 percent, you’ll have to be different from the crowd. You have to do what others aren’t willing to do, which will give you a competitive advantage. Believe it or not, life is a competition. You are always competing with other people, whether you realize it or not. You have to outwork others and do the things that they aren’t willing to do; this is how you will find success. Don’t just focus on instant success or fast money. Think about the future; think long-term. Consider building something that will be here for decades or even after you are no longer here. Build generational wealth that can help your family.
Chase After Your Dreams
I believe in chasing my dreams and going after what I want. Most people don’t go after what they want; instead, they go after what they can get. Dreams can become a reality. However, it requires hard work, commitment, and dedication. The reason why people won’t go after what they really want is because of fear. They’re afraid that they might not get it, so they don’t take any risks. The greater the risk, the greater the reward.
9 To 5 Job
There’s nothing wrong with having a 9 to 5 job. However, it’s not for me. When you work for someone, you are helping them build their dream. However, that’s not what I want to do. I am building my own dreams, making my own money, and doing what I want to do.
When you are your own boss, there’s no limit to the amount of money that you can make. The sky is the limit. With a regular job, there is a limit. Your employer has a lot of say in your income. Even if you have multiple degrees, certain skills, and qualifications, there’s only so much money you can make.
Fear
People don’t go after their dreams because of fear. It’s easy to be afraid, to take the easy road. A job can be secure; however, it’s not as secure as you might think. People get fired every day; anything can happen in the economy. Sometimes people are laid off. Your employer might just let you go. So, there are risks involved with a typical job.
It’s Ok To Fail
Failure isn’t a bad thing. In fact, I think it’s ok to fail. We’re all going to fail at something in our lives. Failure is just a way for you to learn why something didn’t work. However, not everyone sees it that way. Some people fail and never even try again. I’d rather try and fail than not try at all. If you’re not failing, then it means that you aren’t trying at all. The most successful people in this world have failed at something. Many have faced rejections, were told no, told that they won’t become anything in life. Some even dropped out of school and had failed ideas and inventions. However, today, they are millionaires and billionaires. The products, services, and technologies that we use today are the result of failure, hard work, and dedication.
Love What You Do
Are you happy? Do you love what you do? These are some of the most important questions for you to answer. People will complain about their jobs, but they still go to work to collect a paycheck. You should strive to become more than just a paycheck.
Steve Jobs said it best, ” the only way to do great work is to love what you do.” I can honestly say that I love what I do. I love search engine optimization (SEO). I enjoy researching keywords, working on my blog, and seeing it grow. I’ll even go as far as to say that I am obsessed with SEO. My desire for it is strong, to acquire more knowledge and to get even better.
Yes, I enjoy blogging, affiliate marketing, SEO, SEM, SMM, anything to do with monetization, organic traffic, paid search traffic, social media marketing, and so on. It’s very clear to me that virtually everyone on the planet uses the internet, so there are a lot of opportunities to reach people, make a living, and do incredible things.
What Is Your Purpose in life?
In life, it’s important to find your purpose, know what you’re passionate about, and do exactly that. We are all here on this earth for a purpose. You can contribute something to this world. You can bring about change in this world. Perhaps, you have the next idea that can have a huge impact on the lives of others. A lot of people are just existing and taking up space. You don’t want to be that person.
Are You Using Your Time Wisely?
It’s important that you use your time wisely. No matter how rich or poor you are, you only get 24 hours in a day. With that being said, you have to use your time wisely. Use your time to do things that can actually improve your life. Don’t just spend all of your time watching tv, playing video games, and hanging out with your friends.
Most people go to work five days out of the week; then, they get excited when the weekend comes. They’ll have fun and then go right back to work on Monday to a job that they probably don’t even like. If that’s your life, you can change it.
No matter what you do in life, it’s important to love what you do. Do something that you’re passionate about. Set goals, and use your time wisely. Invest in yourself, become the brand, work hard, and never give up!
