Kitchen products and surfaces such as countertops, kitchen appliances, flooring, sinkware and utensils can all be treated with Microban® antimicrobial treatments.

Can you use Microban 24 on kitchen counters?

In order to provide 24-hour protection against bacteria on hard, non-porous objects, the spray must be allowed to air dry and remain on the surface. For this reason, the manufacturer does not recommend using it on food-contact surfaces, such as kitchen countertops.

Is Microban food Safe?

For food contact applications, the EU Directive 90/128/EC states that Microban can be used and has been proven not to contaminate food in contact with plastic surfaces containing Microban. You may want to avoid using “antibacterial” soaps, shampoos, toothpastes, and other personal care products that claim to be antibacterial.

Can you use Microban on kitchen surfaces?

Using the Microban 24 Multi-Purpose Cleaner on non-kitchen, hard and soft surfaces, including plastic, upholstery, painted wood and sealed wood, painted surfaces, stainless steel and aluminum, glazed porcelain and ceramic, glazed ceramic and sealed granite and marble, Formica® and Corian®, has been thoroughly tested.

Can you use Microban multi-purpose cleaner in the kitchen?

Doorknobs, light switches, and stair railings are just a few of the hard, non-food surfaces that it works on. Even on softer items like couches, backpacks and coats, it works great. Effective against Staphylococcus aureus and Enterobacter aerogenes bacteria for 24 hours when used as prescribed.
